Clementi Hub

i happened to see this great model of the new revitalised Clementi Hub, which was also displayed in Toa Payoh HDB Hub. This project will be next to the existing Clementi MRT station, it contains shopping mall & air-conditioned bus interchange on the ground level. This project is slated to be ready (T.O.P.) by Year 2011.

Casa blocks are either 40th, 28th or 20th storey high.

4th March 2009, Wednesday, The Straits Times: WWII Bomb Found in Construction Site

Wow, I must say that the construction workers over here are great and meticulous. They actually discovered a 50kg WWII bomb while they were digging & digging tirelessly at the site.

The policemen & soldiers came, diverted traffic, evacuated the students in Nan Hua High & NUS High school. They then effectively detonated the bomb safely. The residents who were watching the whole episode cheered and applauded. :)
